Dezabian
Dezabian are a Kemono ethnic group that according to legend, originated in the highlands to the south of their territory. The Dezabian are a highly religious group - and their culture is tied heavily with their native Safaism religion. The group is largely dominated by kemonomimi exhibiting the trait of a jackal or cat - with other phenotypes popping up but often marginalized from the very top of society.

Cuisine
Dezabian cuisine features wheat, barley and rice. Rice is the most commonly produced and eaten crops, with wheat coming in at a far second. Leavened pastry bread, made elaborately often with added sugar, are very popular, while flatbread are less popular than in Hombaxia. Olive oil is the primary source of oil in the Dezabian diet. Potatoes are rarely made.
In terms of seasoning, a wide variety of spices are used and are relatively inexpensive, with cmin, chili, cardamon, parsley and mint being featured commonly. Sugarcane cultivation is widespread and sugar is used liberally. Dezabian are also noted for the wide varieties of candies they produce. Garlic and onions are used widely with everyday dishes.
Dezabian diet has chicken and duck featuring prominently, alongside seafood in the northern coast. Lamb and beef are also roasted and grilled, but are not eaten very often by the poor. Offals and livers feature widely in diet - and Dezabian has no issues eating them. Pea and vegetarian dishes are extremely common and often fried or stewed. Foie gras is one of the most common luxury foods.
Dezabian has a long cheesemaking culture, with fermented cheeses and is often served with breakfast. Both soft and hard cheese can be found. Milk is often used to make different kinds of delicious desserts, and are sometimes used to make a curry-like dish with rice and meat.
The most common alcoholic drinks are beer, with other type of alcohol being unpopular or expensive and imported. There’s a significant coffee culture and coffee is an everyday drink for people of all classes - imported en masse from the Kingdom of Matta to the south. Both men and women socialize in coffee houses, often smoking tobacco at the same time. Dezabian coffee is sugared heavily and black coffee is seldomly drunk.
Dezabia's cuisine are based on Egyptian cuisine with a heavier usage of meat than modern time Egyptian cuisine.
Warfare & Tactics
Dezabian warfare is largely similar to that of the Hombaxian to the west, but occasional usage of war elephants from the south are added in. Camelry are much more prominent than horsemen, as Dezabia lack widespread marginal land to herd horses in.
